A domain is one of the most important parts of your website . It has to be catchy and easy to remember and on top of all that, also related to what your website is going to show. This can be a problem, because a lot of domains are already being used.

What you first need to do is to find the two words that describe your site at the best. Those two words will be your domain. They should mean everything that will be on your site or should describe the most important part of your site.

The next step is that you need to go and check if the domain that you would like to use, is still free. Using .com or .org domains will be the best for your positioning in the search engines, but if your domain is meant only for a specific region, than you should have a domain ending of your country. If the domain is already used, you should go and check, if someone is really using it. If you find that someone has bought the domain, but is not using it, you can email them and ask, if the domain is for sale. Some companies buy the domains just to resell them.

If that is not the case, you should try to get an .info or similar domain. And if you are not able to get it, transform the name of your domain into something similar.
